IBM CSE Description:
The CSE (Certified Systems Expert) certification from IBM certification is a standard level certification. This certification was started in 2001, and was last updated in 2006.

A person with the CSE IBM Certification (Certified Systems Expert) has the advanced information and higher level understanding for CSE (integration on iSeries, WebSphere on iSeries, Linux on iSeries, or Domino on iSeries needs and develop an LPAR, Windows integration on iSeries, WebSphere on iSeries, Linux on iSeries, or Domino on iSeries technical solution. This knowledge will include but will not be limited to planning and implementing iSeries solutions and provide ongoing support.

IBM CSE Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites in the CSE certification. However, for the CSE certification you have to know all the basics of the certification. In addition, to do the CSE exams and you are recommended to do the IBM Training course. Alternatively you can do the CSE study guides or CSE practice exams from vendors like Testking.com.

IBM CSE Exams:
You need to do the IBM exam(s) required to earn CSE certification. These can be two exams:

The two exams are the IBM 000-365 i5 iSeries LPAR Technical Solutions V5R3 exam and the IBM 000-866 i5 iSeries Technical Solutions Designer V5R3 exam or the IBM 000-867 i5 iSeries Technical Solutions Implementer V5R3 exam.

OR

The IBM 000-859 iSeries Solution Sales exam and the IBM 000-851 i5 Series Linux Solution Sales V5R3 exam.

OR

The IBM 000-859 iSeries Solution Sales exam and the IBM 000-850 i5 iSeries Domino 6 Solution Sales V5R3 exam.

IBM CSE Recertification
The certification is now valid for only a few years, to recertify you must pass the current CSE exams.
